An articulating boom lift has a jointed arm that folds. That lets the platform rise, move over and around obstacles such as columns, low roofs, or existing structures, then come back down into the working position.

Telescopic Boom Lift: Maximum Reach
A telescopic boom lift uses a straight arm that extends like a telescope. With no joint in the middle, nearly the whole arm length goes into reach, letting these machines work at up to 41 metres.
They are diesel powered and built for outdoor work: tall structures, telecom towers, and office building facades. Hire rates start from RM 1,200 per day.
When a Scissor Lift Is the Better Fit
If your work is purely vertical and needs no horizontal outreach, a scissor lift is usually the most economical choice. The platform is wider, the load capacity is higher, and two people can work with tools at the same time.
Electric scissor lifts are popular for warehouse ceiling maintenance, lighting installation, and high racking work. Hire rates start from RM 400 per day.
