Boom Lift Rental Cost in Malaysia 2026: A Complete Price Guide
Daily, weekly, and monthly hire rates for articulating, telescopic, and scissor lifts in Malaysia — including the extras that rarely get mentioned.

Boom lift rental cost in Malaysia comes down to three things: working height, arm type, and hire duration. Everything else is support cost such as delivery, fuel, and an operator.
This guide breaks down each component so you can budget a project accurately before calling any rental company.
Daily Hire Rates by Machine Type
The daily rate is the base for every other calculation. The higher the reach and the bigger the engine, the higher the rate. The figures below are typical market ranges for Peninsular Malaysia in 2026.
Remember that the daily rate is the most expensive way to hire per day. If your job runs longer than three days, ask for the weekly rate straight away.
- Electric scissor lift 6m – 18m: from RM 400 per day
- Articulating boom lift 14m – 20m: from RM 600 per day
- Telescopic boom lift 20m – 28m: from RM 1,200 per day
- Telescopic boom lift 28m – 41m: from RM 2,000 per day
Weekly and Monthly Rates
A weekly rate is usually calculated as six days charged for seven days of hire. For an articulating boom lift that means around RM 2,800 to RM 3,500 a week against RM 4,200 at the daily rate.
Monthly rates give the biggest saving. Thirty days on an articulating machine starts around RM 7,000, roughly RM 230 a day — less than half the daily rate.
Extra Costs Worth Asking About Upfront
Most billing disputes happen because support costs were never spelled out. Ask about every item below before confirming a booking so your quote is genuinely final.
On our side, delivery within the Klang Valley, machine insurance, and basic operator familiarisation are already included in the quoted rate.
- Delivery and collection — included or charged by distance
- Fuel — delivered full and returned full
- A licensed PMA operator if you do not have your own
- Overrun charges if the machine goes back late
Three Ways to Bring Your Hire Cost Down
The most effective move is scheduling so that all work at height happens inside one continuous hire period rather than spread across separate weeks.
Second, hire the machine that matches your working height rather than the biggest one available. Third, book early so limited stock never forces you onto a more expensive model.
Compare this against scaffolding in our cost comparison article, or read the guide to choosing a hire period. For local rates see boom lift rental in Klang and our other guides.
